Biography
Jack Stanly is the founding editor of MrWonderful Products and has spent the last eight years embedded in the crowdfunding ecosystem — reviewing more than 1,200 Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns, interviewing over 300 founders, and independently testing shipping units in a small studio outside Austin, Texas.
Before launching MrWonderful Products in 2019, Jack led product research at a boutique consultancy that advised early-stage hardware startups on pricing, positioning, and manufacturing readiness. That work put him in the room for dozens of Kickstarter launches — some that went on to raise millions, and others that quietly failed to deliver. Both taught him what separates a genuinely useful innovation from a well-produced pitch video.
His writing focuses on the practical reality behind the marketing: whether a product actually works, whether the team can ship at scale, and whether the underlying idea holds up six or twelve months after the campaign ends. He is a firm believer that readers deserve honest, first-hand analysis — not affiliate-driven hype.
Jack holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Design and has completed continuing coursework in supply chain management and consumer electronics certification through UL and FCC training programs. When he isn’t testing gadgets, he mentors first-time hardware founders through a volunteer program at a local maker space.
